Litterless - Where to compost by state!

    in General Posting

Location: Continental US, Washington D.C, Hawaii, Alaska

Opportunities: Litterless provides resources by state on where to drop off your compost. Thank you Litterless!

”Composting is central to a zero waste routine. Instead of throwing food scraps into the trash, letting them decompose naturally into rich soil keeps landfills smaller, greenhouse gas emissions lower, and gardens and farms healthier - it's just a really efficient system.

Ideally, the backyard is the best and easiest place to compost - set up a container, learn the basics, and you're set. For me, though, and perhaps for you too, that advice doesn't work: my city apartment doesn't have a scrap of grass, much less a backyard. In case you're in a similar situation, I hope this list of national resources can help you find ways to compost at home and when you're traveling”
